How to disable Startup Programs in Windows 8?




 Windows 8 is the most updated and latest release of Microsoft. Windows 8 support online “Store” and have a great tiles view. Also it is connected with Microsoft account (outlook, hotmail or live) to secure your account as well your Computer. Microsoft changes many features in Windows 8, so many users confused to use these features. One of the most important feature that we are going to talk about, is Startup Programs. It is very important feature and you have to know about. Through this feature you can enable/add or disable/remove the programs from startup.
What are the startup programs?
Startup programs are those programs that will automatically open when you turn ON your computer. Some of them are windows default programs or services. If you have lot of programs in your startup programs menu, your computer might be slow down on startup.
In Windows XP and Seven, there is a option to disable startup programs from “msconfig”.
Go to Run, type “msconfig” and hit Enter.

But in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, there is no option to disable the startup programs from “msconfig”. When I open the startup tab, it said that go to “Task Manager” to use that feature.

Step # 1

Right click on Start Button in Windows 8 and Task Manager.

Step # 2

In Task Manager, click on Startup tab. All your startup programs appears there.

Step # 3

Right click on any program you want to disable it from Startup and Click on “Disable“.
You will see in the status that your program has been disabled from Startup.

Restart your Computer and you have done 1x1.trans How to disable Startup Programs in Windows 8? Your program will not automatically open after applying the settings.
